DAY 1 - PONIES RIDE AGAIN

Headed out this morning according to schedule, 7:00 AM. Can't believe we did it! Of course we expect that from Ken & Yo, but to think that Miles and I actually accomplished it is amazing. Expect snow any day now.

Driving north through Louisiana on a beautiful crisp morning was serene and fortunately uneventful.

Once over the Texas border, it was naturally photo opportunity time. Then off to the the Texas Information Center, where we took advantage of the pristine picnic area. Nothing like homemade sandwiches with delicious Creole tomatoes and great friends. Traffic came to halt between Kilgore and Tyler so we took to blazing a new trail. Arrived in Fort Worth only an hour off of schedule. Now looking forward to traveling on to Trinidad, CO bright 'n early tomorrow.
